# Alloy review

Every figure at this seller is a medication rate plus a $99 monthly care fee charged alongside it.

## The verdict

Alloy charges $70 a month for compounded semaglutide, $100 for compounded tirzepatide and $115 for compounded liraglutide. A $99 monthly care fee sits on top of each, making the real figures $169, $199 and $214.

Alloy sells three compounded GLP-1 molecules and both branded weekly injections through an online weight-care service. The compounded medication rates are $70, $100 and $115 a month, for semaglutide, tirzepatide and liraglutide. A separate care fee of $99 a month applies to every row. Wegovy is listed from $199 and Zepbound from $299, both before that fee.

1. ## Who writes the prescription, and what do they see?

The $99 line is labeled ongoing treatment and support, the closest this seller comes to pricing clinician access. It is charged monthly and is the same across all five medication rows. Whether it buys a scheduled visit, a message thread or a review of an intake form is not stated on the seller’s own pages. The medication rate and the care fee are billed as two lines, so the reader can at least see which is which.

The care fee is the structure here, and it is charged every month rather than once a year. It does not vary with the molecule, so compounded tirzepatide stays $30 above compounded semaglutide on either basis. The branded rows are where the medication line itself can move, since both are printed as starting figures. Zepbound is $299 for the medication, or $398 with the fee.

2. ## What happens when the dose goes up?

The compounded rows carry one medication rate each, with no per-dose ladder published beside them. Wegovy is the exception, and its schedule is set by the pharmacy rather than by Alloy. Alloy routes the prescription to NovoCare, which bills $199 a month for a new patient's first two fills, at 0.25 and 0.5 mg. From the third fill, NovoCare's published rate is $349 a month at every standard dose up to 2.4 mg. Liraglutide is dosed daily rather than weekly, so its escalation runs on a different schedule from the other two.

3. ## What the price includes

A reader comparing sellers on the medication rate alone would put Alloy near the low end of this market. Adding the fee moves compounded semaglutide to $169, which is a different position entirely. The fee is the same whichever molecule is taken, so it weighs heaviest where the medication rate is smallest. On semaglutide it is more than half the total. Wegovy is the price most likely to mislead. Alloy prints “Starting at $199” with $499 struck, and that $199 is NovoCare's new-patient offer, limited to two fills through December 31, 2026. At NovoCare's standing $349 plus the care fee, Wegovy here costs $448 a month. A $50 first-month code runs across the site; it lowers one bill, not the monthly rate.

4. ## What it claims, and what it cites

Three of the five rows are compounded preparations, made by a pharmacy rather than a manufacturer, and not FDA-approved. [Wegovy](https://thisglp.com/research/semaglutide-cochrane-review) and [Zepbound](https://thisglp.com/research/tirzepatide-vs-semaglutide-which-works-better) are the manufacturers' finished products. Liraglutide is the older molecule of the three and is dosed daily rather than weekly. The trial evidence for each was generated with the approved products at label doses, and compounded preparations were not studied.

## Where it holds up, and where it does not

- Strength: Three compounded molecules at one seller
- Strength: Care fee amount published, not implied
- Strength: Branded and compounded routes both listed
- Limitation: Care fee is $99 every month
- Limitation: Medication rate excludes that fee
- Limitation: Fee dominates a low medication rate
- Limitation: Wegovy's $199 covers two fills only

## What the evidence says about this kind of treatment

The assessment above is about Alloy. These are about the drugs it sells, and they are traced to the primary literature.

Right for

A reader comparing three molecules at a single seller, where the same fixed fee sits on top of each of them.

Wrong for

A reader who wants one charge a month, since the medication and the care fee are billed as two separate lines here.

## The evidence behind what Alloy prescribes

These studies examine the medicines, not this provider. Results with approved products do not establish the quality or effectiveness of a seller’s compounded formulation.

A 2025 Cochrane review pooled eighteen randomized trials. The weight figure is high certainty and smaller than the marketing, and almost everything else is graded lower.

- [Tirzepatide vs Semaglutide: Which Works Better for Weight Loss?](https://thisglp.com/research/tirzepatide-vs-semaglutide-which-works-better)

In a 72-week randomized trial at weight-management doses, weight fell 20.2 percent on tirzepatide and 13.7 percent on semaglutide. Routine-care studies found a smaller gap, three to four points.

## Frequently asked

Can the $99 care fee be declined?

It is charged alongside every medication row on this seller's page, so the figures this site ranks on include it. A reader should treat $169 rather than $70 as the monthly cost of compounded semaglutide here.

Which molecule is cheapest once the fee is counted?

Compounded semaglutide, at $169 a month. Compounded tirzepatide is $199 and compounded liraglutide $214, because the fee is identical across all three.

What does Wegovy cost here after the first two fills?

NovoCare, the pharmacy Alloy sends the prescription to, bills $349 a month at every standard dose once a new patient's two $199 fills are used. With the care fee, that is $448 a month.

How does Zepbound compare?

Zepbound starts at $299 for the medication, or $398 with the care fee. Alloy prints it as a starting figure, so the $299 may not hold at every dose.

Does the $50 first-month code change the price?

It lowers the first bill only. The monthly figures on this page are the standing rates, before any first-month code.

Is Alloy expensive compared with other GLP-1 telehealth sellers?

Alloy publishes a starting figure of $169/mo. Across the 402 GLP-1 telehealth sellers we review that publish a single monthly figure, those run $49 to $525.42 with a median of $190, which puts Alloy below the median, toward the cheaper end. The other 178 GLP-1 telehealth sellers we review quote only after an intake or price by dose, so they are not in that comparison. A starting figure is not a bill — labs, consultations and shipping are often charged separately, so confirm what your own quote includes.
