# Eclipse Medical Wellness review

A Colorado nurse practitioner's weight-loss practice that prices the care and sends the prescription to a pharmacy the patient pays directly.

## The verdict

Eclipse Medical Wellness sells clinician-led weight-loss care to Colorado residents, not medication. Its three-month starter program costs $500 and covers an evaluation, baseline labs and follow-up. The drug goes to a pharmacy and is paid for separately, so no all-in monthly figure exists.

Eclipse is a small virtual practice offering medical weight loss and urgent care for minor illness. It serves Colorado only. The weight-loss program pairs telehealth visits with quarterly labs, medication management and nutrition support.

1. ## Who writes the prescription, and what do they see?

The practice names its clinician: Jeriah-Travis Mendaro, a board-certified family nurse practitioner. His stated background spans emergency medicine, medical-surgical care and wound care. The medications page states that a prescription is not guaranteed and depends on the evaluation.

Three care plans are published. The starter program runs three months, with follow-up by video or phone. A monthly-visit plan and a text-based plan for stable patients each charge an initial visit fee plus a monthly fee. A stable patient who needs real-time follow-up moves to the monthly-visit plan. Every plan includes one prior authorization attempt.

2. ## What happens when the dose goes up?

Dose adjustment support and side-effect monitoring appear in every plan. The care fee does not change with dose. What the drug costs at each step depends on the pharmacy and on insurance, which sit outside the care fee.

3. ## What the price includes

The $500 starter works out to $166.67 a month of care, before any medication. The monthly plans add a one-time initial visit fee. The practice's cost resource page lists a named 503A compounding pharmacy's monthly figures for compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, stated as flat across doses. Those are the pharmacy's prices, billed by the pharmacy, not by the practice.

4. ## What it claims, and what it cites

The practice discusses FDA-approved options by brand, including [Wegovy](https://thisglp.com/research/semaglutide-cochrane-review), Zepbound, Saxenda and Foundayo. It also states that compounded options are available. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the resource page says so about the pharmacy it lists. Which product a patient receives is decided at evaluation.

## Where it holds up, and where it does not

- Strength: Prescribing clinician named on the site
- Strength: Baseline and quarterly labs included
- Strength: One prior authorization attempt included
- Strength: Branded and compounded options both discussed
- Limitation: Serves Colorado residents only
- Limitation: Medication is paid separately to a pharmacy
- Limitation: No all-in monthly figure is published
- Limitation: Care fee and drug bill arrive separately

## What the evidence says about this kind of treatment

The assessment above is about Eclipse Medical Wellness. These are about the drugs it sells, and they are traced to the primary literature.

Right for

A Colorado resident who wants labs and a named clinician, and may use insurance for the drug.

Wrong for

Anyone outside Colorado, or a buyer looking for one all-in monthly price.

## The evidence behind what Eclipse Medical Wellness prescribes

These studies examine the medicines, not this provider. Results with approved products do not establish the quality or effectiveness of a seller’s compounded formulation.

- [Cochrane Review of Semaglutide for Obesity: 18 Trials Graded](https://thisglp.com/research/semaglutide-cochrane-review)

A 2025 Cochrane review pooled eighteen randomized trials. The weight figure is high certainty and smaller than the marketing, and almost everything else is graded lower.
