# FitRx review

An insurance-first service with a bundled cash plan for compounded GLP-1s and a cheaper route that adds a membership.

## The verdict

FitRx's FAQ prices a semaglutide bundle at $297 a month after a $217 first month. The tirzepatide bundle is $449 after $349. Both include medication and care. But the bundle pages it links to do not load, so no FitRx price is ranked here. The $25 figure on the page is an insurance copay, not a cash price.

FitRx is a telehealth service with a weight-loss line among several others. It works insurance first for brand Wegovy, Ozempic, Zepbound and Mounjaro. Members without coverage are offered compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide. Government insurance is not accepted.

1. ## Who writes the prescription, and what do they see?

The FAQ says providers are licensed physicians and nurse practitioners. It calls them board-certified. No clinician is named on the public pages. The FAQ describes monthly video or phone visits and unlimited messaging.

First, the member completes an intake. Next, a provider reviews it within one to two business days. If approved, a partner pharmacy ships the medication. For brand drugs, a coordinator files prior authorizations, up to three attempts. Memberships bill monthly. They cannot be paused. Shipments can be delayed in the portal.

2. ## What happens when the dose goes up?

The bundle price covers the standard [titration](https://thisglp.com/research/how-long-does-nausea-last-on-a-glp1) schedule. The FAQ states that a dose above that schedule may carry additional fees. The amount is not published. No milligram dose is printed beside either bundle.

3. ## What the price includes

Two cash paths are described. The bundle is $297 a month for semaglutide and $449 for tirzepatide, medication included. The first month is $217 and $349. Those figures appear only in the FAQ, and its bundle links lead to missing pages, so they are not ranked. The second path is a membership plus medication. The first membership month is $39. The standing membership fee is not stated. Medication on that path starts at $151 a month for semaglutide and $216 for tirzepatide. Both of those need a three-month supply. The page also runs a sale banner with a closing date. A first-month discount is not the price.

4. ## What it claims, and what it cites

The cash products are compounded [semaglutide](https://thisglp.com/research/semaglutide-cochrane-review) and compounded tirzepatide. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not review them before dispensing. The pharmacy is not named. Brand drugs are billed through the member's insurance.

## Where it holds up, and where it does not

- Strength: FAQ bundle includes medication and care in one charge
- Strength: Prior authorizations filed for brand drugs
- Strength: Refund stated if found clinically ineligible
- Limitation: Standing membership fee not published
- Limitation: Lowest medication rates need a three-month supply
- Limitation: Doses above standard titration may cost extra
- Limitation: No compounding pharmacy named
- Limitation: Bundle pages linked from the FAQ do not load

## What the evidence says about this kind of treatment

The assessment above is about FitRx. These are about the drugs it sells, and they are traced to the primary literature.

Right for

A reader with commercial insurance who wants brand coverage pursued, with a bundled cash fallback.

Wrong for

A reader on Medicare or Medicaid, which the program does not accept.

## The evidence behind what FitRx prescribes

These studies examine the medicines, not this provider. Results with approved products do not establish the quality or effectiveness of a seller’s compounded formulation.

- [Cochrane Review of Semaglutide for Obesity: 18 Trials Graded](https://thisglp.com/research/semaglutide-cochrane-review)

A 2025 Cochrane review pooled eighteen randomized trials. The weight figure is high certainty and smaller than the marketing, and almost everything else is graded lower.

## How FitRx compares

| Seller | Who it suits | Go |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Good Girl Rx | A reader who will read the one-month rung rather than the headline, and wants microdoses labeled as such | |
| Cielo | Buyers who want the commitment behind a headline rate spelled out in the asterisk under it | |
| Lemonaid Health | Readers who want named clinicians and a price that holds through dose changes | |
