# JRNYS review

A coaching membership with a published price, and brand-name drugs priced after a consultation.

## The verdict

JRNYS sells a membership from $89 to $169 a month. The drug is billed separately. Its price is confirmed only after a provider consultation.

JRNYS is a telemedicine platform for weight loss, longevity and sexual health. Its weight-loss catalog lists Ozempic, Mounjaro, Zepbound and Wegovy. It also lists a compounded tirzepatide microdose, sold as cash pay. Membership tiers differ by the amount of one-to-one coaching.

1. ## Who writes the prescription, and what do they see?

A licensed provider reviews the intake within 24 hours. No office visit is required. The site names its founding chief medical officer. The clinician who prescribes for a given member is not named.

Members weigh in at least three times a week. Coaching sessions run every two weeks, for 20 minutes. The membership covers medical visits, daily monitoring and coaching. Follow-up messages to a provider are free. Programs follow six- and twelve-month curriculums.

2. ## What happens when the dose goes up?

Each member gets a custom protocol. No dose schedule is published. Medication is priced after the consultation, so no price per dose step is stated. Membership tiers are set by coaching level, not by dose.

3. ## What the price includes

A membership fee is not a medication price on this site. JRNYS publishes the membership only. The drug cost depends on the prescription and on insurance. JRNYS sends prescriptions and helps with prior authorizations. It does not bill insurance; the pharmacy does. A site banner offers a code for half off the first month of membership. No medication figure is ranked here.

4. ## What it claims, and what it cites

[Ozempic](https://thisglp.com/research/semaglutide-cochrane-review), Mounjaro, Zepbound and Wegovy are FDA-approved brand products. The site notes that Ozempic and Mounjaro are approved for type 2 diabetes. Weight-loss use of those two is off-label. The tirzepatide microdose is compounded and is not FDA-approved.

## Where it holds up, and where it does not

- Strength: Membership tiers are published
- Strength: Provider review within 24 hours
- Strength: Weigh-ins and coaching built into the plan
- Strength: Insurance navigation offered to members
- Limitation: No medication figure published
- Limitation: Drug cost depends on coverage
- Limitation: Membership billed on top of the drug
- Limitation: Weigh-ins required three times a week

## What the evidence says about this kind of treatment

The assessment above is about JRNYS. These are about the drugs it sells, and they are traced to the primary literature.

Right for

A buyer with insurance coverage who wants coaching alongside a brand-name GLP-1.

Wrong for

A cash buyer who needs the medication price before joining.

## The evidence behind what JRNYS prescribes

These studies examine the medicines, not this provider. Results with approved products do not establish the quality or effectiveness of a seller’s compounded formulation.

- [Cochrane Review of Semaglutide for Obesity: 18 Trials Graded](https://thisglp.com/research/semaglutide-cochrane-review)

A 2025 Cochrane review pooled eighteen randomized trials. The weight figure is high certainty and smaller than the marketing, and almost everything else is graded lower.

## Frequently asked

Is the drug inside the $89?

No. Membership starts at $89 a month. The drug is priced on its own, after the consultation.

What decides the $169 tier?

The level of one-to-one coach support. Visits, monitoring and coaching sit in the base price.

Is anything compounded?

One line is. A compounded tirzepatide microdose is sold as cash pay. The rest of the catalog is brand.
