Not named

Nova MD sells compounded semaglutide with B12 and compounded tirzepatide with B12, both ready to use and already reconstituted. Strength and anti-aging lines sit beside weight loss. The site trades under three names on one page: Nova MD, Try Nova and Try Nova MD.

1. ## Who writes the prescription, and what do they see?

The prescribing network is named, which matters more than it looks. Beluga, a network of United States licensed doctors, holds the prescribing decision, and Nova states that a Beluga clinician meets the patient after checkout to decide whether they qualify. Payment therefore precedes the medical decision. If the provider declines, Nova says the patient is not charged.

The intake is a questionnaire, the review is included, and shipping is overnight and free. Unlimited follow-ups and refills are described as part of the plan with no membership fee. Cancellation between provider review and shipping carries a $25 provider fee, which is stated on the product page rather than buried in terms.

2. ## What happens when the dose goes up?

Nothing on either product page describes how the dose is escalated or how long a rung is held. No milligram is published. What the pages do settle is the money: one rate covers the plan term whatever dose is prescribed, so a mid-plan step up does not change the charge.

3. ## What the price includes

Semaglutide is $175 month to month, $129 on three months, $119 on six and $109 on twelve. Tirzepatide is $199, $169, $159 and $149. Each figure carries its full charge beside it, so the twelve-month rung reads $1,308 and $1,788 rather than only a monthly average. The rung the page preselects is the twelve-month one.

4. ## What it claims, and what it cites

Both lines are compounded with vitamin B12 and neither is FDA-approved. The FDA does not review compounded medications for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are marketed, which Nova prints twice on each page. The dispensing pharmacies are described as independent and licensed rather than named, and Nova states it neither compounds nor dispenses.

## Where it holds up, and where it does not

- Strength: Every plan length shows its full charge, not just a monthly average
- Strength: The prescribing network is named
- Strength: Free overnight shipping and no membership fee
- Strength: One rate holds across the plan whatever the dose
- Strength: The $25 cancellation fee is disclosed on the product page
- Limitation: The twelve-month prepay is already selected when the page loads
- Limitation: A No Commitment badge sits on the same screen as that prepay
- Limitation: The clinician meeting happens after checkout
- Limitation: No milligram or titration schedule is published
- Limitation: Three trading names appear on one page

## What the evidence says about this kind of treatment

The assessment above is about Nova MD. These are about the drugs it sells, and they are traced to the primary literature.

Right for

A buyer who wants the whole plan charge printed beside the monthly figure.

Wrong for

A buyer who wants a clinician's decision before any money changes hands.

## The evidence behind what Nova MD prescribes

These studies examine the medicines, not this provider. Results with approved products do not establish the quality or effectiveness of a seller’s compounded formulation.

- [Cochrane Review of Semaglutide for Obesity: 18 Trials Graded](https://thisglp.com/research/semaglutide-cochrane-review)

A 2025 Cochrane review pooled eighteen randomized trials. The weight figure is high certainty and smaller than the marketing, and almost everything else is graded lower.

- [Tirzepatide vs Semaglutide: Which Works Better for Weight Loss?](https://thisglp.com/research/tirzepatide-vs-semaglutide-which-works-better)

In a 72-week randomized trial at weight-management doses, weight fell 20.2 percent on tirzepatide and 13.7 percent on semaglutide. Routine-care studies found a smaller gap, three to four points.

## Frequently asked

Which plan is selected by default?

The twelve-month one, on both product pages. That is $1,308 for semaglutide and $1,788 for tirzepatide, charged at once.

When does a clinician review the case?

After checkout. Nova states a Beluga clinician meets the individual after checkout to determine whether they qualify.

What does canceling cost?

Nothing once shipped, because orders cannot be canceled then. Canceling after provider review but before shipping carries a $25 provider fee.

Is Nova MD expensive compared with other GLP-1 telehealth sellers?

Nova MD publishes a starting figure of $109/mo. Across the 402 GLP-1 telehealth sellers we review that publish a single monthly figure, those run $49 to $525.42 with a median of $190, which puts Nova MD below the median, toward the cheaper end. The other 178 GLP-1 telehealth sellers we review quote only after an intake or price by dose, so they are not in that comparison. A starting figure is not a bill — labs, consultations and shipping are often charged separately, so confirm what your own quote includes.
