# Push Health review

Push Health connects patients with independent prescribers and sends approved prescriptions to a chosen pharmacy. Its GLP-1 pathway is not an all-inclusive medication subscription.

## The verdict

Push Health is strongest as a route to a clinician and a pharmacy prescription, rather than a bundled drug service. That flexibility makes the individual provider relationship important: consultation availability does not establish the continuity, follow-up fee or insurance work included after the first request.

The platform supports remote medical requests for weight management and other conditions. Its GLP-1 information covers semaglutide, tirzepatide, liraglutide and orforglipron, with both oral and injectable possibilities. The list is a set of options for discussion, not a promise that every patient can receive every product.

1. ## Who writes the prescription, and what do they see?

A licensed medical provider reviews the request, medical history and suitability. The platform describes same-day consultations as available. The clinician, rather than the intake questionnaire alone, decides whether a prescription is appropriate and which treatment fits the medical indication.

Patients enter weight history, medications and relevant medical conditions before connecting with a provider. If prescribed, medication can be sent to a pharmacy or manufacturer direct-to-patient program of the patient’s choice. That separation leaves dispensing, insurance and stock outside the initial consultation itself.

2. ## What happens when the dose goes up?

The provider determines the dose and regimen. There is no single published platform-wide GLP-1 escalation or follow-up package. Before transferring care, clarify whether the same clinician handles refills, how often reassessment is needed and what happens if the chosen pharmacy cannot fill the next supply.

3. ## What the price includes

Insurance and a subscription are not required to request a consultation. This does not mean medication is free or included. Consultation charges, subsequent clinical requests and pharmacy prices should be established separately; manufacturer savings depend on the specific product and eligibility.

4. ## What it claims, and what it cites

The public pages distinguish approved product names and their ingredients. [Ozempic](https://thisglp.com/research/semaglutide-cochrane-review) and Wegovy both contain semaglutide but have different labeled uses; similar ingredient names do not make indications interchangeable. Push Health also excludes controlled weight-loss medicines such as phentermine from this service.

## Where it holds up, and where it does not

- Strength: Patient chooses the dispensing pharmacy
- Strength: Multiple prescription options can be discussed
- Strength: No compulsory subscription is described
- Limitation: Individual clinician arrangements shape continuity
- Limitation: Consultation and medication are separate costs
- Limitation: Controlled weight-loss prescriptions are excluded

## What the evidence says about this kind of treatment

The assessment above is about Push Health. These are about the drugs it sells, and they are traced to the primary literature.

Right for

Someone seeking a clinician-led prescription assessment while retaining a preferred retail pharmacy or manufacturer fulfillment route.

Wrong for

Someone wanting a single inclusive price or a guaranteed refill and follow-up schedule before meeting the provider.

## The evidence behind what Push Health prescribes

These studies examine the medicines, not this provider. Results with approved products do not establish the quality or effectiveness of a seller’s compounded formulation.

- [Cochrane Review of Semaglutide for Obesity: 18 Trials Graded](https://thisglp.com/research/semaglutide-cochrane-review)

A 2025 Cochrane review pooled eighteen randomized trials. The weight figure is high certainty and smaller than the marketing, and almost everything else is graded lower.

- [Tirzepatide vs Semaglutide: Which Works Better for Weight Loss?](https://thisglp.com/research/tirzepatide-vs-semaglutide-which-works-better)

In a 72-week randomized trial at weight-management doses, weight fell 20.2 percent on tirzepatide and 13.7 percent on semaglutide. Routine-care studies found a smaller gap, three to four points.

- [What Is Orforglipron? A Daily GLP-1 Tablet That Is Not a Peptide](https://thisglp.com/research/what-is-orforglipron)

A small-molecule daily tablet, not a peptide. Over 72 weeks in 3,127 adults, weight fell 11.2% on the top dose against 2.1% on placebo. No trial has compared it against an injection.
