# Rylo Health review

The no-contract rate holds at every dose, and the filling pharmacy is named.

## The verdict

Rylo Health charges $139 a month for compounded semaglutide, month to month. Tirzepatide is $229 a month on the same no-contract terms. Neither figure moves when the physician raises the dose.

Rylo Health sells compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide as once-weekly injections. Each product page has a monthly tab and a quarterly tab. The quarterly tab opens first, and the monthly tab carries the no-contract rate.

1. ## Who writes the prescription, and what do they see?

A US-licensed physician reviews each written intake within 24 hours. There is no video call at any point before prescribing. The FAQ names Lone Star Virtual Health PLLC as the clinical group. The reviewing physician is not named on the product pages.

The intake is a written questionnaire that takes about five minutes. A physician decides from the answers and the health history given. An approved order ships free and arrives in about two days. The seller states its care team checks in with each patient every month. Payment is refundable until a prescription is written.

2. ## What happens when the dose goes up?

The price does not change with the dose, and both product pages say so. The homepage shows a three-month ladder from 2.5 mg to 7.5 mg. Each month on that ladder costs $160, the quarterly tirzepatide rate. The seller states the physician adjusts the dose every month. No separate visit is described for a step up.

3. ## What the price includes

Month to month, semaglutide is $139 and tirzepatide is $229. The quarterly tab bills $299 and $479 every three months instead. That works out to $100 and $160 a month on a commitment. No membership fee is charged, and canceling carries no fee. HSA and FSA cards are accepted at checkout.

4. ## What it claims, and what it cites

Both drugs are compounded by a licensed 503A pharmacy. The FAQ names VialsRX in Houston as the pharmacy that fills them. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review them before dispensing. The seller states every batch is tested for sterility, endotoxin and potency.

## Where it holds up, and where it does not

- Strength: No-contract monthly rate on both drugs
- Strength: Price stated flat across every dose
- Strength: Filling pharmacy named in the FAQ
- Strength: Refundable until a prescription is written
- Limitation: The quarterly tab is selected by default
- Limitation: No live visit with the physician
- Limitation: The reviewing physician is not named

## What the evidence says about this kind of treatment

Right for

A reader who wants one monthly figure that holds through the dose ladder.

Wrong for

A reader who wants a live visit with a physician before a prescription is written.

## The evidence behind what Rylo Health prescribes

These studies examine the medicines, not this provider. Results with approved products do not establish the quality or effectiveness of a seller’s compounded formulation.

- [Cochrane Review of Semaglutide for Obesity: 18 Trials Graded](https://thisglp.com/research/semaglutide-cochrane-review)

A 2025 Cochrane review pooled eighteen randomized trials. The weight figure is high certainty and smaller than the marketing, and almost everything else is graded lower.

- [Tirzepatide vs Semaglutide: Which Works Better for Weight Loss?](https://thisglp.com/research/tirzepatide-vs-semaglutide-which-works-better)

In a 72-week randomized trial at weight-management doses, weight fell 20.2 percent on tirzepatide and 13.7 percent on semaglutide. Routine-care studies found a smaller gap, three to four points.
