The Virtual NP is a Texas-based telehealth practice near Dallas-Fort Worth. Weight loss is one service beside urgent care, refills, ED and hair loss. Visits are offered in seven states. Those are Texas, Florida, New York, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Kansas.

1. ## Who writes the prescription, and what do they see?

The prescriber is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. The site names her: Sandra Jordan, MSN, APRN, FNP-C. She founded the practice. Every visit is a one-to-one video consultation with a nurse practitioner. No physician is named.

The buyer pays first, then books a visit from the receipt email. Recent lab work is required before the consultation. The prescriber then writes a plan. If approved, a payment link covers the drug. A monthly progress report and refill payment follow.

2. ## What happens when the dose goes up?

The FAQ tells a new patient to select the Month 1 option, the lowest dose. Later months follow in order. Dose changes are made at follow-up. The site publishes no price for any dose step.

3. ## What the price includes

The weight-loss visit is $75. A month-to-month membership is also $75 a month. A pay-as-you-go plan without membership is charged per visit. The medication is billed separately and varies by drug and pharmacy. For cash buyers, the site points to NovoCare and LillyDirect. Insurance can be checked for coverage.

4. ## What it claims, and what it cites

The practice prescribes brand [Wegovy](https://thisglp.com/research/semaglutide-cochrane-review) and [Zepbound](https://thisglp.com/research/tirzepatide-vs-semaglutide-which-works-better), which are FDA-approved. Ozempic and other diabetes medications appear on the service page. Prescriptions go to a local pharmacy or a partner pharmacy. The FAQ states that compounded GLP-1 medications are no longer offered.

## Where it holds up, and where it does not

- Strength: The prescriber is named with credentials
- Strength: Brand FDA-approved medications only
- Strength: Visit fee published up front
- Strength: Manufacturer cash programs are named
- Limitation: The medication price is not published
- Limitation: Seven states only
- Limitation: Lab work needed before the first visit
- Limitation: No physician is named

Right for

A reader in one of the seven states who wants brand medication and a named prescriber.

Wrong for

A buyer looking for one monthly figure that includes the medication.

## The evidence behind what The Virtual NP prescribes

These studies examine the medicines, not this provider. Results with approved products do not establish the quality or effectiveness of a seller’s compounded formulation.

- [Cochrane Review of Semaglutide for Obesity: 18 Trials Graded](https://thisglp.com/research/semaglutide-cochrane-review)

A 2025 Cochrane review pooled eighteen randomized trials. The weight figure is high certainty and smaller than the marketing, and almost everything else is graded lower.

- [Tirzepatide vs Semaglutide: Which Works Better for Weight Loss?](https://thisglp.com/research/tirzepatide-vs-semaglutide-which-works-better)

In a 72-week randomized trial at weight-management doses, weight fell 20.2 percent on tirzepatide and 13.7 percent on semaglutide. Routine-care studies found a smaller gap, three to four points.
