Shipping: who says where they can actually send it

Publishing the states you serve costs nothing and cannot go stale. This page counts how many sellers bother, and how wide the ones that answer reach.

Whether a seller can legally ship to your address is the first question that matters and one of the last most storefronts answer. It is also the cheapest possible disclosure — a list of states costs nothing to publish and cannot go stale in an interesting way — which makes the silence worth counting. It sits alongside the other silences in what sellers will not tell you.

How many say

Of 200 sellers this site can rank, 94 publish a list of states and 106 do not. That is 53% of the market giving no answer to the question a reader has to resolve before any price matters.

How wide the ones that answer reach

Among the 94 sellers that publish a list, the median is 50 states, and 58 of them reach 50 or more. Publication and breadth travel together: a seller with near-national coverage has an easy thing to say, and says it.

The tail is the more interesting end. 11 sellers publish a list covering fewer than twenty states, and 4 serve a single state. Those are the ones for whom the disclosure costs something — it disqualifies most readers immediately — and they make it anyway, which is worth crediting rather than penalizing.

What to do with it

Check coverage before price, not after. A cheaper seller that cannot ship to you is not a cheaper seller, and a storefront that will not say is a storefront you have to ask — which means finding someone to ask, and most of this market publishes nothing about that either, as listed in the questions they leave open.

The state-by-state view of who has said they serve where is in coverage by state, and the wider question of which figures survive contact with a real purchase is in when the headline is not the bill.

Frequently asked

How many sellers publish a state list?
The count is derived on the page when it builds. A large number of sellers give no answer at all to the question a reader has to resolve before any price is relevant.
Does a missing list mean the seller cannot ship to me?
No. It means the seller has not written the answer down. Several of them almost certainly ship nationally and never published it.
How wide are the ones that do publish?
The median is fifty states, and most of them reach fifty or more. A handful serve fewer than twenty, and a few serve one.
