Who writes the prescription, and what do they see?
The first visit is with a health coach who collects biometrics, and only after laboratory work does a member sit down with a clinician, who discusses medication options and may prescribe if the member is a candidate. Later visits alternate between clinicians and health coaches, and the practice suggests weekly visits, which it calls the route to optimal results.
Most of the model is the visit itself: the practice suggests seeing a clinician or coach every week, prices membership by how often a member meets the team, and takes payment at the time of service. A PPO member with out-of-network benefits who attends at least two weekly visits a month can have claims filed on their behalf, though reimbursement is not guaranteed and HMO and Medicare plans are excluded.
What happens when the dose goes up?
Dose changes happen at the weekly or near-weekly visits where the team fine-tunes the program and adjusts medication, which puts a person in front of every step up through the escalation months. What those steps cost is another matter, because medication is billed apart from the membership and its price is never published.
What the price includes
The $379 start fee is the regular figure and the discounted one changes as offers run, so neither is a rate for treatment. Medication costs are not included in membership fees, in the FAQ's own words, and membership pricing itself depends on visit frequency, so a buyer cannot price six months of care from the site. For a Californian with a PPO the out-of-network claims service may bring some of that back, but the practice guarantees no amount.
